Let’s Help One Another…

Posted: March 17, 2020 at 5:30 pm

As the situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve we all feel the need to want to help our Community and lend a hand to those in need. Whether you are looking to assist with donations, by volunteering or giving financially, the following School Districts in our Community have established web pages dedicated to sharing the needs of their District at this time.

Cherokee County School District

Cobb County School District

Marietta City School District

Paulding County School District

In addition, MUST Ministries has established the MUST Food Rapid Response program. MUST Ministries main food pantries in Marietta, Smyrna and Cherokee will serve new clients as well as current clients, Monday – Friday from 10am – 2pm. They will be piloting a curbside distribution at some locations. The 39 Neighborhood Pantries are continuing either in their current school locations or locations nearby. All locations for food pickup will be posted on MUST Ministries website and Facebook page.

The biggest need of MUST Ministries right now is for food. They are currently serving more people than ever. In addition to the 1,500 families a month they serve on a regular basis, they are now reaching out to at-risk students and their families. Food boxes are being prepared, trucks, drivers and distribution locations readied and a massive amount of communication is going on between the MUST Ministries Team and others in the Community.

In an effort to assist, all Credit Union of Georgia branch locations have bins stationed outside of our doors where you can drop off non-perishable items during business hours. CLICK HERE for a complete list of items needed.
