Effect of the economy to your credit union

April 2008

Dear Valued Members:

You may be wondering how the changes in the economy, specifically the subprime mortgage market, have affected the Credit Union of Georgia – YOUR Credit Union. We are proud to say that we are in a strong financial condition and getting stronger every day.

At the Credit Union of Georgia, we do not originate, invest, or hold sub-prime mortgages. In fact, we do not speculate in the market at all. We have not in the past, nor do we plan in the future, to participate in any type of risky lending or investments.

Your Credit Union is continuing to grow and getting better every day. We are in the process of opening a new branch in the Canton area as well as looking for addition appropriate sites within Cobb, Cherokee, and Paulding counties. Additionally, we are always on the lookout for new products and services to better serve you, our membership.

As always, your deposits are insured by the NCUSIF, an agency of the Federal Government to at least $100,000.

Should you have any question regarding your Credit Union, please feel free to contact me at mark.outler@CUofGA.org. We appreciate your membership to Credit Union of Georgia.

Sincerely,
Mark K. Outler President/CEO
