Welcome to our children's program at Credit Union of Georgia. We have a special friend that we would like for you to meet. Stoney is a very special dinosaur - he’s a Savasaurus! He started the Savasaurus Club at Credit Union of Georgia many years ago. He has been helping boys and girls just like you learn how to save money. He thinks saving money is fun and you will too!

Stoney loves to save money for things to buy later. The first thing he saved a lot of money for was his new bike. It took him several months to save enough money but he did it!

Stoney started the Savasaurus Club to teach kids important lessons about money. He wanted to make it fun too. That’s why you can earn Savasaurus Points every time you visit the credit union. One way to earn Savasaurus Points is to visit the credit union. The friendly tellers will give you Savasaurus Money for your Points. You can use the Savasaurus Money to get really cool prizes out of the Savasaurus treasure box. The more Savasaurus Money you save, the more prizes you can get.

How do you become a Savasaurus Club Member

You can become a Savasaurus Club member if you are 13 years old or younger. You just need to get your parent or guardian’s permission. PRINT THIS FORM, fill in the information needed and bring it to the credit union the next time you come in to open your account or just drop it in the mail.

Once you join the Savasaurus Club, you will receive your own membership card, a cool coloring book and lots of other neat goodies to take home with you.

Saving Money vs. Spending Money

Stoney Savasaurus thinks it is important to save money and not spend all of your money in one place. By saving money, you will be ready to buy things later. If you spend all of your money the same day you get it, you won’t be able to buy anything the next day.

You have to save money every day to pay for more expensive things later. Saving money will also show your family how responsible you are.
